ABOUT William
Capturing Moments seems to be a very natural thing for me.  I have always been a people watcher, seeing how they move, interact, how they relate. I remember being with my uncle as he took photos in my teenage years.  In high school I took photography because, honestly, that's were all the beautiful girls went, in and out of this ASB Room, whatever that was... I discovered that is where photography was done and I got to shoot 12 frames in black and white twice a week.  I got to develop it and see what I captured.  It really helped me to focus on people even more intently... maybe too much ;)
in 2014 I was at an event, I had just lost everything that mattered to me and I was in denial, of course.  There were some speakers that, quite frankly bored me so I picked up my then newly acquired digital camera and started shooting.  A couple of guys at the back of the room asked to see what I was capturing, and after looking at the images, they wanted to post them to Facebook.  A little while later the two professional event photographers asked me to step outside.  This is where the story is a bit funny, ask me in person.... the short of it is they saw I had a great eye and timing for such "poor equipment", they were amazed at the photos I captured.
Fast forward a few years of just messing around, making a grand or two here or there, I found myself giving everything I had away again, for the third time in my life.  On the verge of depression and more serious short term permanent solutions, a person asked me why don't I do more photography.  All my Joy was gone, Personal Development seemed like a fairy tale and all the meds I was on made me feel like a zombie.
I was then asked to step in to a Church, not once, not twice, but three times.  Somehow God Found me and got my attention.  I spent a year as an intern at Awaken Church and then starting shooting nearly 10,000 photos a week, processing at least 4,000.... often way more.  It became an obsession.  I got really good at it, some said great.  I found a new joy again in Photography, it saved my life again.
It's been a challenging road having multiple careers in Medical, IT, Business, Real Estate, Consulting and now Photography.  I love connecting with people.
Of course this is just an outline, a simple story, far more complex and deep full of Philosophy and Christianity, however I love hearing people's come back stories, stories of how they overcame, how they give back, how they mentor, how they help others, inspire others.
Let's connect, I want to hear your story, your adventure, your future plans, I want to be a part of your journey and capture you moment in time and share all that is going well and has been amazing.
